This Privacy Policy explains how Lovy: Roleplay AI Chat (the "App", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The App lets you chat and role-play with AI-powered characters, create your own characters, and personalize companions.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who We Are

Lovy: Roleplay AI Chat is the data controller responsible for your information within the meaning of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and applicable privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"). You can reach us using the contact details in Section 12.

2. Information We Collect

The App does not require you to create an account with your name, email address, or password. Instead, your session is linked to a device-generated identifier. We collect the following categories of information:

2.1 Account & Device Identifiers

• A device identifier (e.g. an app-generated device ID / Android ID / vendor identifier) used to recognize your device, restore purchases, and sync your settings.
• App version, device model, operating system version, language, country, and time zone.
• IP address and approximate (coarse) location derived from it.

2.2 Chat & Character Content

• The messages you send to AI characters and the responses generated for you.
• Characters you create, including names, descriptions, personality traits, and generated avatars.
• Profile information you choose to add, such as a display name.

2.3 Images You Provide

If you choose to upload or select a photo (for example, to set an avatar), that image is uploaded to our servers for the requested purpose. We do not perform biometric or facial-recognition analysis. You may delete uploaded images by removing them in the App.

2.4 Purchases & Subscriptions

• Purchase receipts, transaction identifiers, product identifiers (SKUs), subscription status, and virtual currency ("coins") balances.
• Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

2.5 Usage, Analytics & Diagnostics

• In-app events and feature usage, session length, and interaction patterns recorded via analytics tools.
• Marketing attribution data (e.g. which campaign led you to install the App).
• Crash reports, error logs, and performance diagnostics to keep the App stable.

2.6 Push Notifications

If you enable notifications, we collect a push token so we can send you reminders and updates. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

2.7 Advertising Identifiers

The App may display advertising. With your consent where required, advertising partners may access an advertising identifier (such as the Apple IDFA or Google Advertising ID) to deliver and measure ads.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the App, including generating AI chat responses and rendering characters.
• To process purchases, manage subscriptions, and credit virtual coins.
• To personalize your experience and remember your preferences.
• To send push notifications you have opted into.
• To display and measure advertising (where applicable).
• To analyze usage, fix bugs, and improve performance and content.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and safety or security issues.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

Our legal bases under the GDPR are: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), your consent (Art. 6(1)(a), e.g. for ads and notifications), our legitimate interests in operating and improving the App (Art. 6(1)(f)), and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).

4. AI-Generated Content & Content Moderation

Characters and their replies are generated by artificial intelligence. They are fictional and do not represent real people, advice, or facts. To keep the community safe, we apply automated content moderation that filters and blocks sexual content involving minors, illegal content, and other prohibited material. Messages that violate our policies may be blocked, and repeated violations may result in restriction or termination of access.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party providers that process data on our behalf or as independent controllers. These may include:

• Google Firebase — analytics, crash reporting, push messaging, and remote configuration.
• Google AdMob and its consent management platform — advertising and consent collection.
• Adjust — install and marketing attribution analytics.
• Meta (Facebook) App Events — measurement of app and advertising performance.
• Apple App Store / Google Play Billing — payment and subscription processing.
• AI model providers — generating chat responses and character content.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We share only the information necessary for these services to function.

6. Advertising & Your Choices

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we present a consent dialog (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before serving personalized ads, as required by applicable law. On iOS, we ask for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing your advertising identifier. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through your device privacy settings or the in-app consent options.

7. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We disclose information only:

• to the service providers listed above, to operate the App;
• when required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request;
• to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public; and
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

8. Data Retention

We keep your information only for as long as needed to provide the App and for the purposes described here, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Chat history and created characters are retained while your device remains active in the App. You may request deletion of your data as described in Section 9.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has used the App, please contact us.

11. Security & International Transfers

We use encryption in transit and other reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own; where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
